Wordpress is by far the best blog platform that you will use. While it is true there are many other blogging tools, if you really want to establish yourself online and make money. Wordpress is the platform of choice.

As an open source platform you have access to 100’s of free themes for your site. You also get literally thousands of free plugins. Plugins are additions to the platfrom that enhance the blog and the user experience.
Further wordpress is a state of the art platform, if you check out their website you will notice that companies such as The New York Times and CNN use wordpress as their prefered blog platform.
Now that you have downloaded your theme from, http://wordpress.org/extend/themes/ you then need to extract, that is unzip the archive to your local computer. This will create a folder, you simply upload this via FTP into the themes directly for of your Wordpress Blog Site which is shown below

Your next step is quite simple. Head to your wp-admin page of your site, in the structure: www.yoursitename.com/wp-admin You will get a page the same as below
